This is just an idea or two about increasing the numbers of NPCs available for mods that I have seen used elsewhere to good effect.
Some chapters allow a PC to sign up for a certain number of hours of NPCing at an event in exchange for different advantages, such as auto-cap or a chance to win a magic item or some in-game items or extra goblin. (they later made it mandatory and I was not a fan of that.)
I have also been to an event where one group of PCs acted as NPCs for a mod and then the groups switched for the next mod. That way everyone got to play both mods that night. It was a lot of fun to be able to be more involved in the event (and beat up my husband many many times :-) ).
These ideas may or may not work at Midway and you may have already considered them. There just some ideas I have seen and liked. Thoughts/ comments?

Sign-up sheets and double hooking are all being considered. We are feeling out pcs and our plot team so I completely understand the hiccups we had at the opener, and am confident that we will correct it quickly. Thank you all for your ideas and comments its how we get better
