Hi All,
I want to remind everyone I am not calling anyone out just going over the rules so that we are all playing on the same field. It is important that we discuss the rules so please bring up your questions and thoughts on these or anything else you saw this weekend. 90% of the game is super fun and easy. There are just a few situations now and then that get confusing. I, along with hopefully you, get a lot of knowledge out of discussing the rules and solidifying the correct rules in my mind. Repetition is the best way to learn something. Even if you are new and were confused about something this weekend that seems like everyone knows; I guarantee you that at least one other person would benefit from you bringing it up here and discussing it.
_____
Sleep: There was a little confusion over the statement at open ceremonies. They stated that you can shake someone awake from sleep if you shake them for one uninterrupted minute. This is also the actual rule and not a special rule just for the event. You cannot shake someone awake from a Waylay.
Cantrips: All active cantrips end when you reset at 6 pm/end of the logistics day. There is no change to cantrips at 6 am/limited reset.
Potions: You do need to have a physrep and tag in your hand when force feeding someone a potion. Just holding your hand near someone’s mouth and having a potion in your pouch is not correct.
Scrolls: You need to actually read the scroll during the casting and also touch a packet to the scroll.
Armor Points: There are three things that make up your armor points. Wear total, the amount your character is allowed to wear based on class, wear extra armor and costume. Phys rep, the amount your actual armor represents and covers. Armor tag, the value on the armor tag. These points do not need to be equal but you can only wear up to the lowest of the three. For example: You have Wear total of 15, Phys rep value of 20 and Armor Tag of 30; the amount of armor you can count towards your total hit points in this case is 15.
